After losing loved ones to breast cancer, PBC real estate agent, Tiffany Stevens, decided to join the fight against breast cancer by partnering with her family and the Susan G. Komen organization.

Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest non-profit source of funding for research community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives concerning breast cancer awareness.

“It is a cause that is very close to my heart,” says Tiffany, adding that “participating in efforts to find a cure is important to me because I know what families go through when they lose someone to breast cancer.”

Three years ago, Tiffany and her family started a small fishing tournament to raise money for the Susan G. Komen organization, in honor of her late aunt, Lorraine. This year, the tournament raised a humbling $19,360.

Tiffany credits being a real estate agent with aiding in her fundraising success. She has been able to form close relationships with current and previous clients, many of whom have had similar experiences and are eager to help her raise awareness.

Tiffany adds, “I am looking forward to this upcoming year in playing a more active role on various committees within Susan G. Komen through participating in additional events and fundraisers.” She hopes that her efforts will not only go to fund cancer research, but also aid in education and prevention efforts so that fewer families will be affected by breast cancer.
